  1. MicroEMACS version 3.11 Beta for the RISC OS desktop.
  2.  
  3. The is a version of uEmacs 3.11 with a 'terminal' driver added to make
  4. it run in a RISC OS window under the desktop.  Features over and above
  5. the standard distribution are:
  6.  
  7.  * A resizable desktop window, with reverse video mode lines.
  8.  
  9.  * An icon bar icon to restore the window when it has been closed.
  10.  
  11.  * Loading (finding) of files by droping them on the icon.
  12.  
  13.  * Inserting files by droping them on the window.
  14.  
  15.  * Finding text files by double clicking on them.
  16.  
  17.  * A RISC OS save dialogue box (it even updates the file name now!)
  18.  
  19.  * Mouse support to place the cursor, select areas, move the mode
  20.    line and vertically scroll the window.
  21.  
  22.  * 'Button' clicks from the vertical scroll bar.
  23.  
  24.  * WIMP slot size extention when memory is exhausted (note that this
  25.    is a feature of CLib 3.75 and not of my code).

  27.  * Preserving of file type, attributes, load address and exec address
  28.    but note date stamp ;-).  The file type is displayed on the mode
  29.    line after the file name.  This is added in a way that it can be
  30.    extended for other machines.

  32.  * Buffer name is extended with the directory name if the directory
  33.    is a single character that is not reserved ($,% and so on).

  35.  * The RISC OS window can have its colour adjusted by changing the
  36.    template file.

  39. The code here is made from a release of uEmacs that came from Paul Moore
  40. and has a number of features that were added by him (such as the file name
  41. compleation support for RISC OS).  This is not the same release as the
  42. previous version and thus lacks some of the features of the previous 3.9f
  43. release such as the variable size tabs which had been added to the last
  44. sources I had by Andy Bray.  I may at some point try to put this back in.
